  • 1.8L dohc. how much nitrous?

I'm fairly new to nitrous and have a kit ordered I poked around here and a escort forum and couldn't find anything.

I'm aiming for around 50-75 shot and plan on just using it for pure drag racing.

anybody tell me what these motors can handle?

about 22psi of boost so id say alot of nitrous, but id only spray a 75 shot.

are you using anything to tune for it?

man Ideal I want some pics of the no crossmember thing. sounds like a similar setup with the 6puck in there. LOL.

I have a aem wideband in my srt-4 I might pull out to help but other then that my buddy has ran nitrous on his car. and his dad's been running 2-300 shots of nitrous on his cars for years and seems to be pretty good at it. he's the one who's confident about it. I just wanna go faster witht he push of a button. he figures play with the timing and go 2 stages colder on the plugs.

threes a g25mr mount thread in the turbo swaps section that has been stickied, i posted pics and info in there, it will be changing a bit soon and ill likely make a custom crossmember out of tubing. i like having my motor sit so low, but with the turbo setup im building now i jsut dont trust the frame to hold without a crossmember and some safety brackets as backup.

my 6 puck is a SPEC stage 3 clutch, supposed to be good to 375ft/lb

with the turbo setup and possibly someday nitrous once i get the boost runing right i will try to give it a run for its money

I think you are on the right track with 50-75 shot.....anything more and you may possibly run into some problems on stock internals....
