  • Blew my transmission this morning

Was going to work and pulled a Project B6t (Ian) move. Passed one guy, came up to the next car, passed them in 3rd, starting at 45mph, whinned it out, went to shift to 4th, GRINDdddd, try to let the clutch out in neutral, grindddddd.

Guessing the shift gate split! hahaha

    So that sucks!

I know right! I thought they where way stronger, but I believe the tranny had about 160k on it :-) And I kept shifting at 55mpg into third and gunning it maybe 10 times over the last month, I might have been to hard on it, but I think it was just the tranny. 3rd gear never seemed to engage right anyways. I will know more after this weekend once I get it out.
