US tach cluster weirdness...for a Canuck, anyway.

Got the tach cluster I traded with IdealSociety installed tonight. Everything works exactly as it should, but I've got to tell you, this MPH thing is hard to get used to.

Yeah, I know it's got kph marked on it too, but those are small markings, and I'm used to looking at the big numbers, yknow?

Just a little time, and it'll be completely natural.

On a side note, right after I installed the cluster, my parking brake cable broke. Damn.

that sucks! what is the conversion for kph to mph?

since its a white cluster you should use the template overlays DJ made a long long long time ago in .PDF format to make a KPH overlay for it!

heres the .GIF file of one of them, if you click on media collection above the FF.com logo on the top of the forums here and scroll down theres 4 of them past the cursors, im sure you could modify the overlay to KPH since the text for the MPH should be on its own "layer" then take the file into like a xerox place or something and have them print it out onto a transparency sheet so the backlighting will shine through.

if you could get a pic of a stock KPH cluster i might be able to try and mod the photoshop files for you to read the correct speeds.

I have one. Everything is fine with it other than no dimmer (lights on full all the time) & no high beam indicator light. (I checked the bulb, before ya all pipe up! )

Nah, it's just one of those things I'll get used to.

If it does drive me nuts, I'll make some new overlays.
