i beleive the junkyard that my old 90 lx went to still has it, and it had a rear wiper, so i may be able to find out

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I got these measurement off of a GL with rear wiper. I squared up off of the left hand edge of the black trim piece above the license plate and measured across ( left to right ) 8 9/16 inches. If I remember after the hole was cut I thought that 8 3/4 would have been better. So probably anything between 8 9/16 and 8 3/4 will work. Then I measured up 2 1/2 inches from the top of the trim piece or two inches from the bottom of the rear window seal. X marks the spot. That's what I did don't hold me accountable, you drill at your own risk. I dreaded putting the hole saw to a perfectly good hatch but fortunately it worked out good for me.

Fresh, thanks for the measurements. I need them for my new beater! How about a "how to" for the article section?

^ Cool, glad it worked out good for you ! If you install the sprayer nozzle you will have to make a little square cutout at the bottom of the circular hole so the nozzle will fit. I used a small square file for that job. See the pics at

Line up your sprayer nozzle so that in fits in the little cut out in that rear spoiler you snagged at the junkyard.
