I posted in another thread that is the plan for mine. It may not be quite that radical but I would estimate probably 85% of that anyway.

I am also considering making a fiberglass cover, kind if like a second hood to cover all of the wires and mounts that need to stay accessible. But still try to clean it up as much as possible. These damn Festivas have one of the busiest engine compartments I have ever seen.

^^if you are having problems with the car running I think I found the problem....looks like a rag may be lodged in the intake, must of really been a big one too because it also looks like it got sucked so far in that it is coming through the exhaust ports.

Am I the only one who keeps looking at that VW and thinks.....there should be more parts under there!......example VW's do not have rad caps or filler necks on the actual rad......they use a fill bottle that looks like a little ball......????? that has to be above or at the top of the rad (gravity feed ) Maby they swapped in a domestic or Jap rad.....but agian if I remember the VW's have a temp sensor in their rad.........???

That aside I really do like the look of that engine bay.....simple and clean!

I say try to make a Festy with a B6T look that clean!!! Try hiding all of those hoses!!
