That might work pretty well... I'd make sure you contour it to the hood though or you're going to kill the "function" part of the hood, which is that it's raised in the middle for extra room.

I think 4 pins will be fine!

yeah it would be the exact shape of the hood, only about 1/8" - 1/4" at max taller off the hood with the mesh in there and a few layers of glass

I guess my first step in this process would be to aquire an FMS hood though lol

Simon, what made you want 4 pins exactly? was the 2 pin setup not practical? (I'm asking, as I'm about to put my hood in with the 2 pin setup.)

Kof - I forgot to latch my pins 2 times and I ripped the cowl up all to heck! I'm going to remove the hinges all together and just run 4 pins instead.

2 pins worked great for me, as long as I remember to lock them!

I had a pin come unlatched at 80 MPH on the way to Festiva Festival this summer. Glad I was paying attention!

I've purchased some old school mopar pins with a plastic coated cable. I was thinking of routing the cable via the front grill. Kinda like the old mustang fastbacks!

has anyone seen the locking pins that are flush and the key just turns a cam to unlock?

Well see what the bodyshop thinks about the pins I've got this afternoon sometime! Pics once it's installed.

I like the look of that kofkof and they sell those cables at pepboys so its an easy mod to get a hold of.

Duritz, we need more exterior pics of your ride. It is BADA$$.

Still having a running argument with my gf. She *DOESN'T* want mat black. I've tried to paint the hood 4 times now. I just can't seem to get the finish right. I actually wouldn't mind mat black for the hood. I think I can roxorz da blaxorz.

Swapped out the locking pins today for a regular set like DJ was running (Pepboys set)... Picked up the cables too, but didn't install them yet since I'm not sure how I want to route the cables )I'm thinking through the cowl and grill I guess... Not 100% sure yet.

At any rate... the new pins hold the hood down MUCH better than the locking ones. I need to get a few pieces of tubing so I can cut to length so that the hood is tight against the pins and it doesn't move at high speeds. I picked up something from Lowes but it's a little too thick, was really hard to cut to size and was a general PITA to get working... Something just big enough to go over pins would be best.
