  • New Bumper Covers

I went to PnP to day to pick up some plain, black bumper covers. The front one was easy, but the back one was a total pig. I didn't realize that there were a bunch of fasteners that you couldn't get to unless you pulled to whole freakin' rebar off the back of the car!

Anyway, I got them, and now I can pull the badly abused painted covers off.

These should look pretty darn good with the black grille I just ordered.

Congrats! The rear cover is a pretty big PITA... I just pulled mine off to fit my ATH rear bumper. The rear bumper support comes off with 6 nuts, it would've been easier to pull that off and then take the cover off with everything off the car.

I've always been a fan of the painted bumpers... But the ones of my car were horrible looking (dinged and dented), there was even parts left from DJ's burnt tarp!

I just like the durability of the black plastic, even if it is just a different kind of paint. Plus, seeing as I'm going with a black grille and a black lower half of the body, it'll work for me.

Did you pull them off the white one?? I got the headlights from it. The blue one used to be mine!

Yup, got them off the white car. The bumper covers on the blue one weren't quite as good. EG: Looks like theres a rope or cable burn in the front one from getting towed at some point. Oops!
