323 PROTEGE power regs

Ok, ive tried 626 power regs... those dont work. People say the 323 ones work but i cant find any out of a 323. I did however find a '90 323 protege with power regulators. it was a 4 door. any idea if these will work? it wasnt the normal 323 hatchback body style, but more like a car body.

Elcamino used those regs on his Festiva. You have to redrill some hles but they work. I seen them myself!

The ones I used came out of a 1993 madza protege 4 door, use the front two.

What's a power reg? Are we talking about the alternator power regulator here, or did I miss something?

Thanks guys, i'll snap them up ASAP, because ive been searching since ive owned my fest and this is the first time ive found them.

I'm aware of drilling the holes, i already drilled them for the 626 regs, there the same bolt pattern, but there just curved too much, and the glass pops out of the guides.

What's a power reg? Are we talking about the alternator power regulator here, or did I miss something?

It's good idea to upgrade your alternation too! it robs some power when you uses with power windows :wink:

I'm considering getting a better alternator, does this mean you can take one out of a 626? (sorry for the thread hijack!) Power windows are in the cards. aftermarket of JY if I can gather more info...

i picked these regs up today! will update when i try put them in 8)

removing power window regs in a j/y can be tricky when there is no battery... since you cant lower the glass to get the glass attaching bolts out.

^Take a cordless drill battery 12volts or higher with you ,jump the wires at the power window motor, problem sloved.

I just picked up a set out of a 91 Mecury tracer with power windows.
trying to see if they will bolt right in without redrilling.

Also the rear door switches are nicer than the proteges
I had to ues a single switch on each door, hard to fine two door cars with power windows for that drivers double switch.

ok... no luck

only the top bolts line up... the bottom are way off and the glass will only go 1/2 way up then it binds and the motor dosent have enough jam to go the rest of the way..

not sure what to do now

They will work,they are not a direct bolt in.
You will need to drill some holes to make them work.
I have done it they are in my car and they work.

yes... i think i gave up too soon. if you look at them they are the same curve and length so they should work.
where did you drill the holes? straight down or did you move down at an angle abit? I cant figure it out, ive tried holding the reg in different spots, (down, exct) but i cant get it to work right.
