I'm going to junk my 1991 escort LX. I took the dome light out of it and put it in the festiva. What other parts would be good to pull from the escort before I scrap it? To put into my festy?? Its got good seats in it. I also took the mirrors from it.
    Thanks

You can also pull the locks and ignition cylinder, steering wheel, window crank trim (if you have manual windows) probably the door handles inside and out....ummm....look around on the dash for anything that might swap over. Maybe the steering column switches?

It's mostly the small, trim and electrical type stuff that will cross over.

Really? I kind of thought they'd use the same cylinder as the 323 they're based on, and I got my locks and cylinder from a 323.

Maybe I shouldn't assume? Cuz you know what happens when you assume something.....(insert groan here)

you can take the center console and shift boot too. theres a thread on here about that somewhere. i'll see if i can find it.

                    heres one of them:

theres another one on here that looks better because they swapped the entire console (he cut part of it out) but this ones good too.
ps. i couldn't find the other one.

The steering wheel from my EGT wouldn't fit the festiva.

Ford steering wheels won't fit Festiva.

Mazda wheels should. This is a bit of a generalization, so check each application before you commit. Easy to do in a junkyard. Have your 20mm (or is it 21mm?) socket at the ready!

Gotcha, thanks. I kept mine for awhile in my console, but took it out for something and put it back in the tool bag.

I think the crank pulley bolt is 19 or 20mm. I bought these sockets from AZone when I needed them doing jobs. They didn't come with my Craftsman sets.
