Fiberglass molds, mold release etc. Any tips?

Last time I did any fiberglass Fab was 1980s. I was using plaster and cardboard boxes to make my molds and Johnson paste Floor wax as mold release.Im sure there was and is better stuff for doing this.The reason I"m writing this is one of my parts cars is too rust free in the body and floor.So my thinking pull some molds, prep some floor sections as molds, and make some rockers, floor patches, rear fender arches etc.for my other projects and other people in need.I"'ve always welded in steel panels, but one of the shops I worked at sold some pretty nice fiberglass floor inserts to save rusty Vws and I don't see much availability for aftermarket steel panels for our cars. All tips are appreciated. Thanks
