  • Best way to quiet outside/road noise ..?

just do a search for sound deadening/dynamat/insulation ect. Theres a number of different threads on the subject of quieting down the cars. But you would have a hard time getting it really quiet without adding alot of speed and efficiency robbing weight.

best way to keep a festiva quiet is just don't drive it... with it parked and the motor off it gets very quiet inside. I'm talking zero road noise, and little outside noise as long as there's not anything outside making noise  That being said, its really hard to get it quiet, its a small, lightweight car, and as such there isn't much to keep it quiet inside
          No festiva for me ATM...

^^ uninsulated pop can ^^

I do hear that a lot , about excessive road noise .

If you have good tires , good bearings that are not noisy , like front and rear , and your tranny bearings are not humming ., the car should be quiet .

I can run at any speed , push the clutch in and coast , and it is very quiet .

My exhaust is my problem , I have tried several combinations , and it is still loud :?

Turn up the radio really loud, that can insulate you from road noise.
              Current cars:

1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
              1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
              2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

If you stay in Damkids car to long you won't be able to hear anything.
His car stereo is very loud.

I got one 10" Competition Sub..which at first I thought was crazy loud. Now it's not loud enough. I absolutely love bass.
