thats sweet. you should see if the lower foam and cover from the mx3 will also fit on the festiva lower seat frame. i'm betting they do...then you could have matching upper and lowers...Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

its impossible....the seat is integrated into the bracket, for some reason i forgot to mention that in the how-to. I just added that into there.
You'd have to fabricate a custom bracket and sliders OR cut up your stock cushion and weld/bolt it to the MX-3 lower cushion if you wanted to rig it all up. Much more work. IF you already have covers (many of us do b/c of tears/worn seats) then this is super easy and very worth it!
Using the TAN seatback would probably match more than the navy blue / red one lol, but meh.Wil

oh i know that the seat frame is welded to the brackets, it's the same on the festiva buckets...what i'm saying is i bet that they would have used the same seat frame and then welded different brackets to it. sooo if the frame is the same you could remove the cover and foam from the mx3 seat and install it on the festiva lower frame. if your interested in finding out i could measure the bare lower frame and you could check the mx3 seat frame. there are only like 10 hog rings total holding the bottom on...Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

I don't think you understand.
The festivas seat are gay...the mx-3's aren't. The MX-3 you can simply unbolt the seatrails/bracket from them and be left with just the cushion. On the proteges and 323's you can basically swap your stock brackets and bolt on the mx3 seat. The festivas would require cutting and weldingWil

mmmkay i guess i'm not getting the point across i'll just check into it myself. i'm talking about removing the seat cover and then the foam from the spring bed. not swaping the whole bottom cushon.Jesus is on my dashboard, But the Devil is under my hood

its unpossible...take apart ur seat and you'll see why...the foam is basically embedded into the metal springs/fram that the sliders are also welded to...you can't seperate taht shit w/out destroying it.
the mx3 cushion has a flat bottom that bolts to the rails flushly. Wish the fsetiva had the same setup but it doesn'tWil

& quite honestly, the stock festiva cushion (at least on the 93 GL we did the upgrade to) has plenty of ass support, if not more than the MX3's. The MX's offers more side-ass-support but the festivas definitel adds more towards its front. The MX-3s is almost completely flat & barely slopes upward, the festivas def slopes at more of an angle & offers more support there. My tall, skinny ass needs that more than side-support lol.
BTW: maybe you could just remove the festivas stock cover & sorta slide the MX-3's cushion cover over the top. It'd at least match, but itd be somewhat wrinkly unless you really pulled it over so it'd sit as flush as possibleWil
