  • Protege LX clock and mirrors.....(Vid-Update)

I nabbed one, and a set of swoppy mirrors(yay!!!) off a protege LX last weekend. Anyone know what color the letters are on it? It has three buttons, set, reset, and date. What does date mean?

    Calendar date. Like 2/20/2008.

Congrats on the mirrors and clock!

Mirrors to took 50 minutes to install. 35 minutes for the first, and 10 minutes after I knew what I was doing. Did exactly like Fresh's article instructed. I still need to figure out how to put the plates back on the inside of the door though.....

Pulled my clock blank from the dash to reveal the lack of clock harness inside. It is going to be a real pain to wire. I will probably grab what I need off the radio harness.

Pics or vid in 30 min...............

No, not really. I stripped the one festiva that came into the north atlanta pullapart because it was an lx. Everything else I get off mazdas. More festivas go through the South atlanta pullapart, but that is a hike for me so I never go.

In georgia there is you, me Joe(htchbck), and Joe(wrestler). Both Joes are swapped, one bp, and one b6, and I am on my way to b6t eventually. How far are you from the Atlanta area???

Nice av8ter, now you just need to use the Freshtiva article for clock installation. Link below. Then send me the next free clock you find for all my pioneering work. Pretty sweet :thumbright:

Here is a tip for the interior mirror trim

The clock has the same connector as the power mirror, not the festiva one. I will defantly nab every good set of mirrors, and now clocks that I find during my junkyard trips. I will hook you up with one Fresh.....

So when are we going to see a protege power window how-to from you???

elcamino1 was the one who told me about using the protege LX mirrors. I think he said he only drilled one hole instead on enlarging three. So there may be a easier different method. I dont think the regular festiva clocks have the date. Thats a upgraded clock upgrade I havent done any power window upgrades, Im behind. Stefan and elcamino are the two people who should do a write up.
