Take a silver sharpie or black and trace the outline of the hood bracket onto the hood from the inside so you'll have a guide to line it ack up with later. Just take the 4 bolts that hold the hood on off, have somebody help you hold it so it dosn't just fall down when you take it off.

As far as sanding/priming goes, just get some 500 grit sandpaper, and a sanding block
3M makes them, their like $2. Scuff the paint up and get you some spray can primer.

If theres any chips/rust and you don't want to use Bondo, just get some Spot Putty. It comes in big or little tubes, you don't have to mix hardener with it, and it sets up fast and sands easy. They have it in 2 pound tubes at our local Advance Auto for about $5. Get a spreader (the little plastic putty knife things) also. Sand the afflicted area, squirt out some putty, smooth it over the area (remember, it dosn't have to be level or perfect, as you'll sand most of it off down level with the surface of the hood once it sets up) Leaving it out in the sun makes it set-up faster, but just wait until it is no longer soft or mushy and start sanding with your sanding block if its on a flat surface. If its one a corner or something, just use some paper by itself.

You're wrong... Mine adjusts several inches... The back can be raised, the front won't latch properly, etc...

I had the same "issue" with my dads white 93 when I smashed his front end with my Jeep. :\ I backed up without looking.
