  • Protege seats?

I went to pick up some parts for my BP from a guy yesterday, and he had those sweet seats from a Protege GT 25th anniversary (it's a 1990-1994 model Protege, with a BP, 4 wheel disc brakes and pretty much full equipped, they pretty much all came in black with a red stripe running all the way around on the rub strips, not sure, but I think that would be a Protege LX for you guys from the US) with the seat tracks and all. These are apparently rare seats, and the guy wants to get rid of them fast and on the cheap. Anyone ever tried to fit Protege seats in a Festy? Would it be harder that putting in 323 GTX seats? I'm pretty interested by these seats, but if it's to much of a chore to put them in, I'll just save my money to buy me an engine crane...
    Here's a pic:
The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!

Ok I got some info; apparently, only 500 25th anniversary Protege GTs were made, and only in 1993, and only in Canada. Other than that, we still had the normal Protege GT from 1991 to 1994, which should be like the US Protege LX...

They should install just as easy as the 323 seats... Check out DJ's how to in the "How To" forum below. If nothing else... You could get a shop to weld you some brackets that would fit, or you could weld the seats to the body (like was done in my car... grr).

They look like a nice set of seats!

I think I'll buy them as soon as possible; I've contacted the guy today and he's asking 50 bucks for the seats, first one to go get them with the money wins!!! Heck, that's cheaper than the last time I went to blockbuster and bought 5 DVDs!!!

If I sell them to you, you would have to pay a boatload of money just for shipping!!! Don't forget the fact that I live in eastern Canada... But if I do fit these seats following DJ's instruction, I'd have a pair of candy stripe seat cushions and seatbacks for sale...

I'm about 500 miles away from Damkid... But like I said, it might be cheaper to ship only the foam cushions and fabric. But for the whole seats, that would make two really big and heavy boxes...
