I met up with Brian today to pickup my new set of seats for Casper.

They are a little dirty and worn in a few spots... But the price was right and it pretty much matches the rest of my car.

I'm going to check with my local welders/boat shop on Monday to see if he'll bend me a new set of brackets.

These things will hold me a LOT better than the 323 GTX seats did during autoX last year.

So I got to ask, what did you do with 323 gtx seats?
Actually, the bracket themselves are of great interest too!

Looks like Brian was holding out on us.
    Where did he get those?
They look a lot more comfortable than the OEM ones!

The 323 GTX seats were actually put onto my Festiva brackets a few weeks ago. I put back into the car so I could drive around lately... But, as soon as these seats go in, the GTX ones are being pulled for Doug (packrat) since he called dibs on them already.

As for Brian, I believe they were included in the deal on the Festiva he picked up a few weeks ago.

        Thanks Simon,

Doug, when you get these, how hard do you think it would be to have a second and a third set made?
As I know someone else who as a set or two of 323 GTX seat that needs brakets to mount them!

PU - I followed DJ's how to in the "How-to" section below... I mounted the butt cushion onto the Festiva sliders and then mounted the GTX seat back into that.

Took me about 45 minutes per side because my set didn't go quite like DJ's did. I had to cut the Festiva reclinder piece a bit and drill a new hole too.

I've heard you can mount the fronts with the GTX sliders and then make a custom bracket to fit in the rear... I didn't have that option though... The previous owner WELDED the GTX seats into my car. It took a sawzall and a lot of patience to get them out of there. :p

Thanks! I think they'll make a nice addition inside of Casper. If nothing else, they'll at least hold me in place, where my GTX seats did NOT...

I made a trip to the hardware store today to source some new nuts and bolts to hold the sliders in place. The PO didn't have something right and they were almost death-trappish, which is scary if they were mounted at some point in a car that saw the road.

Got them all on right and now I'm just waiting for a call from the welders shop when they'll have some time to get my brackets made.
