  • Customized LX console

Alright had a good productive day on the console project.heres how it turned out:

I also installed the cup holders in the old radio hole.

I still need to pull and paint the dash one of these days . . . And I still need to make a custom trim pannel to blend the cup holders into the current face plate.
    Heres the side shot:

I'll be making a custom shift boot to reeplace the rubber one

When you do I'll buy the stock boot and retainer if you want to sell it.

Ahh yes that it was there was a reason though for all that money I had already bought a console that I could only use as a mock-up - it was cracked in three places, missing the retainer and boot and the mounting hardware. completely different from the picture I bid on.
There's a saying :its mine and I can do with it what I please.
I knew roller was selling a quality part complete with all needed hardware, plus I knew it would show up in excellent condition, thus the high price. Always pay the extra price for quality is what I was taught as a kid.

Excuse my noob question, but how do you fit an LX or auto console on a Festy that didn't come with one? I can't find holes for the brackets on my car...
The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!

the holes are there...under the carpet. And if you got the auto...you would need a retainer clip and boot and shift nob.

He's right. It's all right there. It helps if you take the console out yourself. That way you get all the brackets. You also know were everything goes.

Mine had a different bracketing for the half console that I had to remove, but then I just cut away the carpet to reveal the mounting holes.the rear bracket bolts on with the bolts for the shifter bearing there are holes for the mid bracket under the carpet, and the top bracket mounts to the bottom of the dash.
