A simple question: if I was to strip my car for paint, how would I remove the hatch's window trim? Is it snapped or glued in place? Sure looks like it's solidly held in place...

I saved a rear glass from a parts car. If you are talking about the rubber seal around the glass in the hatch I had to take a utility knife and cut the glass out. Of course I was trying to save the glass and not the seal but Id say its pretty difficult to remove without the proper tools and know how.sigpic

Here is an old trick you may be able to use:
What you do is lift up the edge of the seal on the outside. Then get some thin twine or some other kind of very thin rope, and you wedge it in underneath that raised edge. What that does is lift the edge off the body, so you can wrap the tape UNDER the seal, so it doesnt touch the body, and the paint can go underneath the seal. When the paint is dry, you unmask, remove the twine or rope, and the seal lays back down on top of the new paint. You wont be able to tell you didnt remove the window to paint. There will be no masking lines!

It is very difficult to remove. I did mine. I used about 20 screwdrivers and had a helper.
