Yes these are those , They told me to adjust them down a little in the instructions . I did and I have not had 1 person flash me yet , the light does seem to go all over but the light is pointed at the ground , that is why I am going to paint a small white brow on the top of the lens so some the light does not shine straight up.

When I am driving under the overhead signs , it does light them up , but I don't think it is a annoying glare .

I know the sings on the side of the road are very pretty at night

I ordered from the same seller yesterday.
That is a great deal! I saw some from the ebay.ca and they were $25, but shipping was $70. They were from intenseHID's I think or something. But those ones are quite the deal!! I will definitely be picking some of those up!

I talked to IntenseHID personally ..

You need to be careful when ordering , all of his are only one brightness , not a hi/low combo , that is what he told me , he does not carry them .

Most of the single element kits are under $90.00
The best deal was the $116.99 shipped for the dual beam ,he had them listed for $96.99 +$20.00 shipping .(mydepots)

Now mydepots has them listed for $71.99 +$45.00 shipping , still the 116.99 price .

Mine shipped today... I asked where they shipped from and he said "their biggest warehouse in China", haha... Trracking number was provided but it doesn't seem to bring back any details on it yet.

About how long did it take to get yours Doug?

Since the "low" beams on your HIDs are so bright, do you feel that it is necessary to run High/Low beams? Also, how difficult is it to obtain replacement bulbs when the time comes?

Did you have to pay much duty or anything like that on these?

I did not pay any duty , only $116.99 and that is all included .

B3 madness .. I am going to order a extra set of bulbs , just for back up .

These have the best warranty out of all I found ..14 months on everything .

So if something does happen , I will not have to wait for them to ship , if it is under the 14 Months , I will just send that one back , and I will not be without light.

As for the high beams , I wanted them just in case I needed them ,So if someone does flash me I can flash back . That is one of reasons I wanted them .
The lows are awesome by themselves .

Did you paint the brow or is that vinyl?

I've always liked the eye brows on cars... It makes them look MEAN!

Thanks ..It is paint , I just taped it off and gave it a few coats .

That new pass.headlight really made a difference , Much clearer than the one that was on there .

I never realized until I took it off , the whole flat bottom of the reflector was solid rust

So Doug, are these HIDs legal in the "eyes of the LAW"? Are they DOT approved?

This is one of the things I found ..
                              E4 & ISO-9001:2000 Approved,

I searched and some say they are DOT approved .

The biggest issue with some States is , they are looking for the imitation Blue bulbs , Not the real HID lights .
I will get the box out of the garage tomorrow and look at it .

                                They look fairly impressive, Doug.

I may be interested some day, as long as they don't attract undue attention. I don't want the "blue tint" look nor do I want anything that would blind others.

As far as legality is concerned, well, I bought a set of Cibie Z-Beams (early halogen lights with removeable bulbs--non sealed beam) for my Chevette "back in the day." I made sure they didn't blind oncoming drivers (the "Z" cutoff worked well) and didn't care about what the law said. From what I read back then, the law required "sealed" beams and did not take into account the newer technology. In the old days, non sealed beams tended to get rusty reflectors and that's why the law was passed. My brand new Cibies did not have rust problems! Besides, they were legal in Europe!

Shortly thereafter, Cibie came out with the "BOBI" sealed halogens, and the rest of the U.S. headlight industry began catching up with the times.

If the HIDs offer improved vision without the blue tint, then I will eventually go that way.

Car companies are already working on LED headlights too, though. We'll see what happens in that direction!

BTW, I bought my Cibies at J. C. Penney catalog distribution center at a real nice price. Same place I bought my Gerber Mk. II fighting knife, believe it or not! Ah, the old days...
