My festiva is several different colors right now and when i fix the rust on it i want to pain it and i want to paint it all one color. what do you paint the bumper with the same kind of paint as you do with the car do you have to do any thing special to it before you paint it??

depends on what kind of paint your using too... i did the $50 job and after a year and a half have had no problems with cracking/flaking on the bumpers and i used no adhesion promoter or flex additives... i just put it on real thin so that it would flex as much as possible. Its getting thin in a few spots so in the next few weeks i'm planing on doing a quick re-coat to give it a nice look (just the black), but thats the joy of a $50 paint job, i can do it for almost free in one afternoon...~Nate

I agree with Nate here; I painted the DeathEgg years ago (with spray cans!!) and it still looks good, with no peeling or flaking. Obviously since using spray cans i couldn't use additives for anything. Proper prep is the key IMO.
