yea the baseball bat will work but most likely crack the paint unless you heat it properly with a heat gun first and it will also produce a very wrinkled fender. but for an autocross car id say its perfect

My brother bought one of the professional fender rollers. We did his 350Z in the rear and it worked really well. But with a price tag of $350... The baseball bat seems a lot cheaper.

We also used a heatgun and did very small portions at a time...

Fender rollers really just roll the lip of the fenders.....

I won't have any fender to roll once I cut them... I will have to put some sort of flares on it...

does the tire have to be covered by the flare or is there some limit as to how much can stick out?

Not in my class... but I wanted to get as much under fender as possible, for personal taste.

hmm i guess i missed this thread a while ago, quaddawg, wow that crazy, i thought that you'd transfer everything to a donor car, nah hack it and keep going. thats really cool, don't forget fuel cell!! good luck with the rest of the project

you could use some off a jeep cherokee. all square and boxy. totally cool. oh!!! off road guys build tube fenders. they just cut out the fender and bend up some tube and stick it right were the cut it out. totally give you that mad max beyond thunderdome look. lol

I still haven't pulled that B6 and redone it yet...still too strong to mess with! We just ran FTD the other day against a small, but fast group...
