  • Broken clear turn

Got my clear turn light off summit recently, and yesterday i must have taken a rock cuz the driver side has a huge crack in it. I used to give people with trailer queens a hard time 'Cars were made to be driven.' and all that, but now I think I understand. I don't think i could handle it if i put thousands of dollors into a resto and cought a rock in the headlight. I and freaking out about a $30 dollor turn that can be replaced.
    Going old school...

There are trailer queens and drivers, I have had both. My current project is going to be a heavy driver. When I painted the frame I used industrial "hammer tone" paint. Looks funny to some but its easy to cover up chips.

No spitters were I work, you swallow it all. The Company feels if you already have it in your mouth why waste it.

My one has a small crack in it too. I think it may be from tighening it down too much? But it could be a rock too.

I hear you... I dealt with sandblasted sideskirts on all of my Pimptivas that needed a repaint every year just from road debris.

Those skirts really take a beating! I finally used chip guard on them which helped a *small* amount.

Yeah... Mine was just getting a fresh repaint every spring. It was terrible. I'm glad I'm sticking with a white car this time though. It's not quite as noticable since the kit itself it primered and close to white.
