  • CARPETED door map pockets!

    Hey all,
well, I've been wanting door pockets for quite some time, but could never find a pair that wasn't trashed. Here's what i found:

the best thing is, they're related to our cars! They're from a Mazda MPV minivan, the older, squared-off ones (first gen). I will carpet the bottom of the door panel soon to match.
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

with that positioning they actually let the door close? Are you able to get to the seat adjustment?

Yep, door closes fine (they look lower in this pic than they actually are). It is mounted a little farther rearward than the stock ones, but not close to the seat adjuster, so no problems with that.

that will look sharp with carpet on the door. I've seen a pic somewhere of the carpet on the door (with no pocket though) and that looked great.

For whoever is interested in possibly making a long door pocket for there car...

This is the carpeted door pocket on the 1987MR2, its 39 inches long. The screw holes are hidden in little slits in the carpet.

The nice thing about the carpeted ones is you won't get scuff marks on them! Nice upgrade!
