    Very nice!

To be able to make use of any storage space available in these cars is great. Great job on the install too!

      under seat lowdown

Everything you need to know about the under seat tray but couldn't find one to ask questions about:

Here is what they look like from the top:

Here is what they look like from the bottom:

The interesting part is how they are mounted and how they work.
Here is a side view of the spring steel which is rivetted to the track rail:

Here is where the tooth engages the plastic:

Here is where the rails are situated when it is retracted:

Here is where the rails are situated when fully extended:

Each track is handed, and are not interchangable.
As I said before, the lower seatframe has an additional four mounting tabs.

In my opinon, the tooling required to duplicate this would be prohibitively expensive.

You have to make your own wire harness. The plug is from a rear window defrost switch connection. I think the radios have a similar plug too. You can adapt a six pin plug to work too.

            Hey Fresh,
Did you get a chance to talk to your supervisor? I know there would be a lot of happy festiva owners if you could swing this:-)

No, they are ford aspire seats mounted on ford festiva tracks.

He wants to know if the seat adjustment cable was the standard set up for seats with the trays on them. He has what looks like the factory seat with rails but no tray. But it look to him like the seat adjustment cable would get in the way of the tray if he had one. Here is a picture of the original set up. The tray doesnt slide back far enough to hit the cable. You dont need to get different seats it will work fine if it looks like the one below.
