  • inst. cluster ?

ok, i swaped in a tack cluster and was hapy for a while, but now i am looking for a speedo
that reads 100-120 mph....because i am tired of just really fast over 85mph.

i have seen some pics of digital clusters, and that looks cool, but i do love standard gauges... so what fits with little effort, has a tach a 100-120mph spedo, and of course a gas gauge temp, and a trip meter would be sweet....oh and i need to be able to find it for 20-30 bucks and the local you-pick...........

hope i'm not asking too much.......and thanks in advance.
    Later,
    Ian L.

    I need a tUrBo

I'm pretty sure the escort speedo won't work, but I know the mx3 and protege one will. I have a protege tach and speedo in my car, but its a good bit of work, requires a custom cluster build. The other option is a euro cluster that goes to 110... I've never tried that one though, but I doubt you'll pick one up from the jy, those go for around $100 on ebay last time I checked.
      No festiva for me ATM...

somewhere overseas there is a 110mph tach cluster, but getting one would cost you more than 20 -30 bucks

thats all well and good, but last I checked 180KPH is just over 110MPH, and even 200KPH only equals out to 125MPH... so if you wanna play the metric game mines around 225 on that scale I'm loving that 323 cluster though, its pretty nice.

when you say cousome work you mean trim to fit or rewire?
as far as trim to fit goes i can handle that...but it would be nice of the spedo cable and wire connectors pluged rightin....

or switch guts and remark the numbers....

i really like the looks of the one in the pic with the gauge pods....orange would be cool.........

can't speak for damkids guages but the ones i used required printing and drilling an entire new faceplate, reusing the festiva temp and fuel gauges, and copletely rewiring everything. Literally everything, right down to making custom plugs on the cluster to fit the festiva dash plugs. The only thing that plugged right in was the speedo cable. However i did make a 140 cluster once (without tach) by pulling the 85 speedo out and bolting in the 140 from a 94 protege. All you have to change is the lettering on the dial then. Might be able to do something similar with a stock tach cluster, but i know for a fact tat the white face cluster won't accept this mod, only the orange ones will. I'll try to find my old thread on this topic with pics later but i'm on my cell phone right now and it doesn't like the search function very much apparently because it keeps crashing it lol

The 110 MPH speedo with tach comes from England. You will need to either rewire it on the plugs or switch the circuit board from a us tach cluster on to it so it will work right.
