  • "exotic" junkyard horns

When i go to the yards, i usually bring my drill and/or 12v impact along to test electrical items. What european cars have the coolest sounding horns? (vehicles that would most likely be there, not expecting many italian makes)
ive bought some jc whitney specials in the past and they just sounded like mexican corn sidewalk vendors, and weren't loud at all.

NO to the ooga horns as well.

i do have a merkur at home already and the horn is indeed different, but was looking foir something more catchy than that. A big caddy horn on a festiva is a joke, i just want something that sounds small but the pitch is so different you notice too. most horns are a 2 horn system, a high and a low. i think the blend of the 2 is what makes them sound funny. Not a music major over here, but to guess im thinking if run of the mill sound horns are with octaves or whatever these euros are using cycles closer together.

            horn collector

I collect horns. I have about 20 different ones. My favourite is the original Jubilee bull horn.
These were manufactured in the 70s in Omaha, Nebraska. They have a variable moo and are fantastic in parking garages, underpasses, and when someone cuts in front of you, forcing you to slam on your brakes.

Yeah and run the air inlet line to the drivers seat. Whenever you feel the need to honk "just blow"....really hard.

What i thought would be cool is get 6-7 two tone horns for varous makes and models and wire them all together.
