Focus Bumper Transplant

Thus far this year many of my projects have been delayed. Hopefully I'll get pics taken tomorrow (May 20). I've got the top panel (that fills the gap b/t grille & bumper inside edge) done & installed and it does look good. Oddly, I've had no luck finding Focus side bumper lights! Go figure.
Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

Smedley took some more pics of my "final touches" on the Focus bumper transplant, with the new black valance panel in place to cover up the big gap. And I continued the white stripes from the hood all the way down the bumper as well. Unfortunately Yahoo Mail has been very uncooperative & I haven't been able to get those pics yet so I can post them! I'll try again tomorrow. The car will be at Ohiostiva anyways.
The bumper appears to be leaning upward a little. But that's a result of the "best fit" I could do after testing several different positions. Recall that the front of the Focus swoops downward but the Festiva's front end if "flat" (more parallel to the ground) by comparison. Someone with more skill & technique than I have could undoubtedly do a much better job.
I recently saw a Focus with the Saleen body kit installed. (Focus by Saleen... who knew?!) For the most part it was well done, esp. the rear bumper/diffuser. However it had a really oversize double deck rear wing (which was hideous, but oh well). The 2 exhaust pipes came out of the center of the rear diffuser... kinda kool.Last edited by sam.1956; 05-20-2009, 11:51 PM.

Yeah I seen the saleen n20 focus but I dont really like it. To me the svt is more balanced with the upgrades. I would love a svt with center exhuast and maybe the euro style wheels though. I had a 03 for a week, it was red with red and black leather interior and it had the standard svt style wheels. OMG I fell in love with it the minute I seen it. But yeah price/payment was to high even for being 4yrs old and having only 12k miles on it.
