  • Another steering wheel swap

Got tired of the stock festy steering wheel so I picked up a new wheel at the junkyard. Had to modify some things to make it work, but it's a great improvement over the stock wheel. If anyone is interested in knowing what car it came out of let me know.....hint: it isn't a mazda. I may also do a write-up if there's any interest. It's really easy though.

definitely looks like a first-gen Eclipse wheel to me.

Good guess with the eclipse...it's actually from a 94 eagle talon, same thing basically. I just popped the eagle insignia out of the wheel and put a mazda emblem in that I cut to fit.

Also had to do some cutting/dremeling on part of the wheel itself, the festiva steering column case, and a piece inside the steering column that activates the turn signals.

I really like how the cluster controls are not blocked by the steering wheel spokes. Very nice upgrade indeed.

Yeah, it's super comfortable...much better than the cold hard steel feeling of the festy wheel
