  • Escort Body Kits

Ok, I saw the thread about puting an escort bumper on a festiva. So I checked a supplier I know and found body kits for escorts and was wondering if they would also fit the festiva. I understand they will need some modification but I wanted to be sure the width & hight would work. I don't want to drop money on something that won't fit at all. Thanks guys!

They should if you a get a body kit for the same year model as in that thread you mentioned.

The only problem i can think of is, lots of body kits go closer to the ground... So if you put it on a car with less ground clearance, you hay not have enough ground clearance.

The ground clearance is one issue I thought about but if it lines up ok for the grill & headlghts then I can always shorten the kit. Might look better to. Here's the link for the kit with pics. I already know that the side skirts would need to be adjusted just not sure about the front & rear bumpers. Here's the link:

I know you can use the original EGT front bumper and that looks cool. There was a thread within couple weeks ago about the front bumper, wasn't there? The body kit on your link is kinda "ricey"...now this is only my opinion! If you like the way it looks, geez, go for it but be ready to produce pics for all of us to see! ;-) I like the side skirts but I believe Escorts are longer and you would have to cut it up a bit and do your own fab. Rear bumper, I have no clue.

I don't have an issue with the ricearoni look. The side skirts can be shortened fairly easily but I know that going in. Of course pics will be posted should I decide to go this route. I'm still setting up my shop to work in so it may wait till spring to get started. I'm still in the planning stages and just floating ideas out there and getting feedback. I'm going back & forth with the colors. Any other opinions are welcome!

i think escorts have a much longer rear bumper

escort(they all have the same dimensions - the wagons aren't longer):

              festiva:

so there would be a lot of trimming involved with getting the rear bumper to work, along with the side skirts

the kit might be a little too curvy for the festiva body lines - you might have someone good with photoshop make you a preveiw and see what you think

The rear bumper from this kit is way shorter that that Wagon but still might need to be "adjusted" I'm not aking if it's bolt on, just how possible is it or am I wasteing my time.

I think that if the front bolts almost right in, the rear should have the same width....If I had the means to play with fiberglass I would go for it! The car in your link is lowered alot or at least it seems so....I think it would fit a festy just fine

Thanks for the input. There are actually 3 different styles for the escort the one I showed was the cheapest of em. Not sure I want to spend more on a front bumper than I did on the whole car. Then again...

The Escort I got is a GT the front bumper fit with some moding. Just need to cut the fender opening, And mod some backing for the fender I used 3" square tubing, and some extra bracing.
The side skirts I think will work if you cut them down and glass them back together.
The rear bumper I am not sure of yet.

you will need to do some major trimming to get that rear bumper to fit, its gonna be too long on the sides.
