  • was watching Pimp My Ride

I forget what kind of car it was and I forgot to look at the year of the show but they put what I think was an awesome paint job on it....they used what they called a new paint system to make the car look chrome. I found a pick of a car on the net that looks like the paint I saw.....

more pics can be found here

I don't know why but I really like the look of the paint.

does anyone remember the chrome chevy trucks from the opening ceremonies of the Atlanta Olympics? i thought they were so cool.

When I was welding the shop I worked at had chroming tanks that you could put a car in.. It would just take the work of stripping it down.

The show had a brand new Mustang they did in neon green and that chrome. I saw it a while back and couldn't believe they would take a brand new car and put that type of paint on a daily driver for someone that probably didn't even appreciate it.

Anyway it looked to ba a pretty cool process!

I bought a Killer Chrome kit a few years ago. The results are INCREDIBLE!!! Used it to duplicate polished bare aluminum on some aircraft models. Over $100 for a spray can of paint is a little crazy, though...
