  • Power window question

I'm going to be installing power windows later this spring. I've got the assemblies from a 323 and two or three different switch options to go with, two from other Mazdas and one from a Nissan.

Do I need to install additional relays or can the switches and motors be wired directly?

I'll try to remember to take photos when I do this job. Remembering is not one of my strong points though... now what was I talking about?!

that depends on the switches. SPDT will need a relay, DPDT can be wired directly, assuming the switch is rated for enough current (amps).

here's a link to DIY guide on power window install from the kia pride forum, you'll need to create a log in though to view it

They have a whole forum for DIY articles

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
