  • Canadian Fix for Noisy Hatch.

Well I got really tired of listening to the hatch rattling around today so I took a long look at it and like every good canadian, I fixed it with hockey tape... haha... I tried building up where the rubber bumpers rest up against, that helped but didn't solve the problem. I found the rattle to be coming from the latch area, so I put a little hockey tape around the hook part and voila no more rattle...

90 festiva BP/G25MR swap, spec v seats, aspire brakes, FMS springs, round headlight conversion with HID's, custom exhaust, fiberglass hood, and a whole lotta bodywork

Nothing quite like a little Canadian ingenuity. I can't say I would have ever thought of hockey tape. I'm an oxy-acetylene torch and hammer kinda guy. LOL

Good thinking! Perhaps a trip to my local sporting goods store isin order. I may need to add hockey tape to my bag of roadside emergency tools.

if you mean the latch is adjustable I did that, i adjusted all different ways and still couldn't get it nice and tight, this way worked great... quick, easy and I can just throw a new piece of tape on it when ever I need too...
