  • Ford Festiva GTA Body Replication For sale.

my name is Jon i live in Vancouver Canada, and i have currently imported 4 Festiva's from japan and one of them is a very rare Festiva GTA,DOhc engine, electronic stiffening suspension, one of only 300 made (http://gaijin71.multiply.com/photos/...rd_Festiva_GTA) now we have found a boat builder here that gave us a price on making molds of the GTA body kit, now before we go ahead with this we were wondering if there is a market out there for it, were not looking to make millions just to basically break even, so im making this post to see who would actually but seriosly interested in this kit.

Kit would include: left/right fender, front/back bumper, hood, grill, hatch cover. total 7 parts estimated price around $3500 CDN not including shipping

They kinda look like an MG front end graphed to a Festiva.

That would be sweet to have! Except it is a little expensive for my book, I'm sure it is worth it, just I can't afford it.

hi jhon, nice body kit you have there..although I prefer the style of classic festy, the back bumpers are nice. but change the style of the front is really not my type...

by the way, if you're selling the body kit should be published in the section [FS] area

Kinda crazy how everybody's opinions are different. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.

Though it would be nice to own a real one to move up the ff.com food chain, I don't care for the front, unlike Stefan. I think the rear looks better. I think the bottom of the hatch, as a tail finisher, and the rear bumper would look sharp with the FMS front bumper like me and Alicia(FestivaChick) own.

So when the time comes, Stefan, we can go into a purchase together and split the parts! Let me put it a different way, I MIGHT go $400 for the rear set up, Stefan can cover the rest. That's $150 for a tail finisher and $250 for the bumper. Noj1010, if you can make money with those kind of prices, you'll probably do well with sales here. If it costs much more than that, I don't see it.

              Now that's darn near priceless!!

How do you do that? Aren't Canada's car regulations very similar to those of the U.S.?
I can't begin to imaging how a person here in the U.S. would have to grovel and be humiliated by the DOT, EPA, and the insurance industry, or how many palms would have to be greased to import cars such as these.

IMHO, a good looking car in all respects but, it isn't a true Festiva.

If a car is 15 years old it can be imported relativity easily in Canada, if I remember correctly.

Only part I like is the rear bumper. Mix that with the JDM front and I would own it.

It's a 1 of 300 limited run of Festiva, kind of like a Corvette ZR-1 is still a Corvette.

I like it. I wouldn't put it on my car until I finished the engine swap though.

Your not going to get enough bites to break even.

the price maybe fair but you have to rememebr most of the guys that are driving festivas is because its a cost effective option. Not to many people can afford to drop $3500 ( another $400-600+ to paint it) into a $800 car. Now if you were going to be popping out fenders / hoods for a shelby mustang you would have people jumping all over it for $3500

My self , I have dumped a ton into a festiva project / swap but I would still not fork over $3500 for the parts you listed. $2500 US maybe.

Yeah. There's a whole list under the government's website of cars that one can import into Canada, but that really only applies to anything that is under 15 years old. Anything that is older can be brought in. I'm guessing they think it will help the manufacturers here sell the local cars, since we seem to get the shaft as far as powerful/fun cars are concerned. I'm not even sure if we're getting the new Camaro, or at least the really fast ones.

For example, I wanted to get my hands on an Evo for the longest time, but the Gov't said that the bumper didn't meet regulations. Until recently, the only way I could get one was to either get one that was 15 years old or (somehow) get the cash for a brand new X. Good times had by few.

I'd have to agree. If you had one of these though, you'd be one of the only ones in North America.
