  • Questions about a truckstiva..

So I have a freind who does alot of custom body work. Skilled stuff, very talented. We were talking about my car, hes into mazda in a big way, and I mentioned all the mini-trucktivas out there. He got all excited and want to help me do mine. I am thinking about it.

    Has anyone here done it?

Structure? Would I need to support the b-pillar? I was thinking a 2 point cage that follows the pillars across the top of the car or a 4 point that adds to that but also follows the bed caps down to the tailgate. This is pretty much just specualtion now, and WAY down the road. But still information is king and the more I know the better decsion I'll make. Thanks.

My brother done it in about 10 straight hours. We just used a roll bar out of a ford ranger for safety. I will see if I can find a pic.

It looks rough in those pics but alot has been done to it since then. We jacked up the rear and smoothed out all the rough edges. Bondo was applied today, now just waiting to sand down and repaint. It isnt the pretiest but its the only one in WV I think, and everyone thinks its cool.

It wasnt really that hard to do. Sealing up the back was kinda hard though.
