  • a couple interior clean up questions

I starting tearing everything apart today and was wondering a couple of things. What's the best wat to treat rust on old nuts and bolts? I'm not sure if rust coverter would leave a film that might make them harder to reassemble or take back apart later. I really don't want to go through the hassle of replacing them all.
Also, I have black spotted mold on some of my seatbelts. Has anyone found anything that works good for this? I want to neutralize the rust and hopefully get rid of the staining from it. See below:

You might try a little bleach and water. Take about a capful of bleach to a half gallon of water. If it works some, add maybe a little more bleach. Test it on a place that is less visible at first to see how it works. Bleach does kill mold and turns most cloth white while doing it. Be careful.

I was going to say the same thing....I've never tried it, but it was the first thing to come to mind

I did the bleach and water trick. It kills the mold and fades the spots, but also lightens up the material. Be careful, bleach can also weaken fabric if too much is used
