I just did the too.. 3 way toggle switch, and just undid the green/yellow wire to the cooling fan switch on the thermostat (when you disconnect it, the fan should come on with the ignition in the ON position) then with it disconnected tapped my 2 wires in series.. 1 wire to the switch, the other to the green/yellow, and so in the OFF position they are connected, and the ON position when its open circuit.. works great. I did this just so that if i want the fan ON when in traffic when its HOT, it'll keep the engine cooler before the switch reaches 207 F.

i have a awesome way... i dont know if someone has posted it before but ill say it anyways... you need a chunk of speaker wire or somthing like that, i used speaker wire cause it is like one wire but with two in it and then it stays neat and tidy... also 1 2 or 3 pole switch and 3 female and 1 male connectors, that it... now take two of the female connectors and put them on the ends of the wires, the other side will get the other female and the one male connectors. connect the side with the two female connectors on it to the switch and put it in the dash, run the other side of the wire to the motor where the thermostat sits. then you will find a wire connected to a sensor. there is two around the same spot. go and turn on the key to the run setting, go and unplug one of the sensors and the fan will turn on (WATCH OUT YOU DONT SLIP IN TO THE FAN!!!) then put the plug back on and it will turn off... then go turn off the key. unplug the wire and plug in the female connector in to the wire that you took off and the male connector on to the sensor. now you are done.... simple as that
