Bedliner for rear seat interior plastic panels?

I have a couple of dogs that usually occupy the back seats of the Festiva. Unfortunately they have scratched the plastic rear panels all to hell. I was thinking of using some of that aerosol bedliner like from Duplicolor or Plasti-kote to spray the plastic with. Anyone try this? I'm wondering if it would stand up to the dogs claws?

im pretty sure if you let it set up right it could handle a few dags. i was planing on doing the same to my festiva but mine is guttted and i think i would keep alot of the sound out of the car.

Maybe you could fold the back seat down and have room enough for a pet carrier.
