I'll be picking up an 88 lx this weekend, with a sunroof. Not sure if it's factory or add on. Wouldn't think adding one would be all that hard. Measure twice, cut once.

I have an electric one in mine, its made by a company called "Webasto".
Assuming you installed it yourself was the install easy? Wiring easy? Once I get the blue car up and running I also like the idea of this option. Any leaking problems?
Thanks, Cory

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
I got mine out of a Justy and cut the hole in my roof in the middle of the night in a gas station parking lot and then drove to an all night Walmart because I forgot the sealer. Came out and installed the sun roof right there in the lot.

I have a skymate sunroof that I removed out of a Festiva in Michigan.
The inner trim ring is missing, but everything else is there. It is collecting dust in a storage unit in Michigan.
I used to work for a company called Mytox which made parts for Webasto sunroofs in Rochester Hills, Michigan. I was at the Webasto plant and toured their operations.
They make good products. The benders for the stainless trim rings were very unusual because of their length and double bending action.
