  • Rusty Rims

My 1989 festiva has some rust on the wheels. I sanded the rims down and used Limeaway so i can spray paint them today. I'm not sure what kind of paint to use though. I want to protect it from rusting again. Any advice?

I do it like anything else. Primer and then colored paint, then clearcoat. Just make sure the wheel is completely clean of the Limeaway first.

^^ +1. If you feel like they're clean enough, clean 'em one more time.

P.S. If the rims in your album are the ones you are talking about, the camera must hide the rust well. They look pretty sharp.
