  • What mirrors will fit on an '89 Festiva?

    Hey guys,
just want to start by saying I know absolutely NOTHING about cars. At all.

My auntie gave me her old 89 Festiva a couple of weeks ago, and since then we have been on a search for a passenger side mirror with no luck!
I was just wondering, what other mirrors will fit on this car?

First off. Welcome to the site!

If youd like shoot me a PM I have a manual passenger side mirror Id sell for $25.00 plus shipping.

Other wise without doing some type of modification to either the mirror or the mounting area, there arent many and even then theres only a couple. Escort mirrors will work if you trim about 1/4" off the bottom of the mirror. Early 90s Mazda Protege LX mirrors will work , but you have to oblong a couple of the mounting holes on the door first.
But any year of the Festiva will work including the power ones. Although there is a possibility that the wiring wouldnt be in place on your car. The chance of that is slim. But there are a couple members whove reported that the wiring wasnt in the doors of their rides.

^^ True that. My 89L has no wiring in the doors. Wondering if the early years, only the auto/FIs were prewired for them.

I believe the escort mirrors that MONSOON is talking about are from the 90 to 96. Can't remember who posted that info, but I think those were the years they mentioned.

      And welcome aboard.
