I've always wanted to do the right hand drive conversion but my fear is that I will do the swap and then have a steering rack go out and have a pain finding a RHD steering rack

Nice. New tools? Is there a storage area in the black panel above the ash tray?
I always wondered what the Shades means. Is it just a name or is there some reference to something?

yeah finding a RHD steering rack is going to be hell. the only option you got is to look overseas and shipping a steering rack over from this side of the world can be very costly

funny thing is people here do a lot of RHD conversions on american cars. i've seen plenty of old mustangs and corvettes with the steering wheel on the right haha.

                      drink holder

You should install a Saab DIN drink holder in place of the radio delete plate in your dash. Don't you ever get a little thirsty Down Under?

                      Nice Shakes!

David88 - the black panel is just to cover the empty hole where the aftermarket head unit is supposed to go. and the Shades is like the mid range 121. entry level is called Deluxe, then Shades (you get 4 speakers and a/c) then Funtop is top of the range.

                        batstiva - thanks. :p

jermnc77 - i like what you did to your roof. mini cooper style?

fuzztiva - i just used some cheap spray paint which i bought from this shop called 'Supercheap Auto' hahah. it turned out pretty well though surprisingly.

bravekozak - yes it gets pretty hot down here.. i thought about getting a cupholder.. one of those which you clip onto your aircon vent haha
