  • Euro/Mono Wiper

Like several I've seen here on the site, I took my drivers side wiper off to get that euro look. Today I redid the linkage to get the full 170*+/- of stroke, now the passenger doesn't have to look at the wiper arm.

The bracket as compared to an original. I shortened the center line distance and flipped the ball over to clearance the mount. I also cut the arm and turned half of it 180* to match flipping the ball. I removed the driver side arm and bracket completely. will patch hole to give the shaved look.

The resting point before shortening the bracket.

    And after........

Looks great man! Any chance you'd be willing to do that up for me? I don't have any way to do the welding.
Edit: Oh yeah, what is the range of motion? Does it go all the way over on the driver's side?

If it is working, sorry about the poor quality.

Ahh, looks SOO much better than the "wiper through the center of window" that some ricers do to go for the Lemans look. I'm gonna have to do that mod, looks simple enough and I have a friend with a welder.

Thats a really cool mod!! i'm not sure i understand how you got that range of motion though

A wiper arm from a right hand drive car would finish that off really nice. Great job and great write up.

the additional range of motion comes from the shortened arm. You can see what he did in the first picture.

changed the length of the arm after the pivot point. like if you were to shorten the steering arm on the knuckle to get a faster steering ratio.

                              BAH! beat me to it.
