Wow, thank you guys for your input, opinion, and experience. It'll really help with you future waxes deciding what product to use. That beatle is awesome. For this wax because I needed to get something done while the weather was good. I just went and got some turtle wax hard shell. I drove it for 2 days before I found batteries and a time to snap some shots so it's a little dirtier than it was... Anyway here is a link to pics: http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=25325
My Festiva: 92 1.3L, 5 speed, No options (yet), and 173,000 mi on original engine.

For a quick job that lasts surprisingly well....Nu Finish really does a great job. It has always worked just like it shows in the commercials, for me. Takes a very dull finish and shines it right up.....wipe on and wipe off.

I would take a close look and seal up any holes in that rust before the salt starts to fly. That will kill your car quicker than anything you have on your "to do" list. Salted water will splash up in the fender well where that rust is, get into the torque boxes (rocker panel under your doors) and rust all the structure that holds the car together. In our area, that, and accidents are what kill a Festiva.

If your hands go numb from the cold then it is to cold to wax. I would say as long as you can spread the wax you should be fine...
