I saw a write-up/partial write up on here about this. Whoever it was drilled holes in the panels and were planning on covering a custom fit panel to install in that spot. I'll try to find it for ya

back the material with 1/8 foam and then glue it in and use a matching piping to border it. no sense in doing it if you're not going to do it well...

You certainly could do that Tony with left over door panel clips like shown above. I would use 3M 08090 Super Trim Adhesive in a spray can, spraying a light coat on the material, and backing board like a door panel has. Let both surfaces dry slightly as the instructions show you on the can, then lay the two together from the center out with the fabric folded in two lengthwise to make it easier to handle making sure not to trap air in between the two. It will bond together like contact cement using it this way, so when the two make contact, make sure you are where you need to be. You can also draw a couple of lines on both surfaces as reference points. Biggest thing, if you are going to do it in a pattern like that Sport material has on it would be to make sure the geometric pattern looks right as layed out. Test it out inside the car by taping it on, and stand back and look at it first before gluing it down.

              Tony-
The 121 actually has the vinyl glued directly to the panel, but I wanted something removable so I could change it if I so decided.

It was prety simple - took an made a patern of the area and transfered it to a 2mm pvc board. Took an extra set of panel clips and cut the holes - then all I did was took backed vinyl an used 3M adhesive to glue it to the pvc board - unfortuneately I dont have any pictures of the finished product because I never got to install then due to my seperation. All in all the hardest part was making the template.

                just buy them

Go on ebay.com.au and have them sea mail the whole interior to you. It takes about 3 months to arrive. But it's about 1/6 the cost.
have him send the door panels, wheel well covers and fun top at the same time. Then there is no way you can ever lose the Festiva of the month award. I'll even chip in a couple of hundred dollars for some other parts from this car. Ask the seller if would consider parting it out.
