I think FMS has a fibreglass hatch. I know they have the hood.

        yep.

if I can get the Dreadnaught around 1400 or less I'll be able to pull him out of ditched with out a come-along the next time an Excursion runs me off the road.

actually I'm interested in FG since it doesn't rust

It's not safe for daily driving unless you would have a full cage, door bars, etc.

There are warnings all over my fiberglass Jeep hardtop saying that it's not a safety device or any means to keep you inside the vehicle in an accident. Meaning, you wreck, it will crack and peel away quicker than you'd believe.

Yeah for safety, I would never go lighter on a Festiva unless I did have a Rollcage built into it... Especially for daily/street driving... 1700-1800 is still too light when you do crash calculations with an Excursion or Super Duty Pickup... -Kyle

trust me, with the way the people drive around here, I'ld have to be in an M1A2 to survive an accident involving them.

who knew posted speed limits were just suggestions?

                  Well let's see.

Bonnet, Rear hatch, front panels over tyres

non of them really is structural.

Last place would prob be the front floor pan. Weld a light frame around the cut out in front of front seat and then fiberglass. It would have to be a pretty freak of an accident for that to be a weak point

Then i suppose from there it's all structural...

for the floor, I plan to clean, stripped, sealed, and stainless steel sheetmetal layer
