Installing my Mini in the Festy

Yeah so I found this little site http://tunertricks.com/blog/index.php?p=40 about sticking your mac mini into your car... Seems pretty strait forward. I bought a small LCD off of ebay but I'm wondering how to get the dashboard out without having to disassemble the whole festy.

I'm not sure if the Haynes manual has any diagrams...IF so please point them out to me as I am wayyyyy to lazy to read the index!

well if your slightly less lazy you could always try a search, i know of at least one post with tips on removing the dashboard. you'll need to pick up a special tool before you get started unless you wanna bust out your windshield so it might be worth looking up.

just curious why you would wanna install a mac in your car anyway? just put in a pc! hell a mini atx would fit under the drivers seat, then you just have to figure out a place to mount the lilliput monitor.

eh kinda limited in the processor speed though. a micro atx should fit easily under the seat and still give ya some more powerful cpu options.

seriously you can't do have the things you can on a Mac...Unless we are talking about gaming.

Sooooo should I get one of those power inverters...What do you recommend?

tis true the whole x86 switch with Intel sorta disappointed me, they really should have gone with AMD. Now forget it Intel is gonna own the world now. :/

It is a pretty logical step though I really see how a cell phone company would compare to the POWER of an x86 setup. But watch the same stability issues that pop up on PCs show up on Macs. >_<

Further I think its a conspiracy Bill Gates does OWN part of Apple. >_<
