  • Muffler/exhaust recommendations?

Looking to get an exhaust put on the Hulk soon. The exhaust smell coming up through the rust holes in my spare tire well has been killing me! The exhaust was cut right by the rear passenger tire when I got the car and the exhaust fumes get sucked into the car through the rusted out spare tire well. My plans as of right now are to cut the spare tire well completely out and have some flat metal welded into place. Since I have the bumper swap I plan on having some exhaust tube bent and come around to the driver's side where it will exit from the area pitured here...

I've got a Super Dynamics muffler I was thinking of adding, but not sure how it will sound.

Anyone know of a cheap, QUIET, decent muffler I could add? What about pipe size? Stick with stock festy size since I have the b3 still?

Stock size pipe will be fine. I'm still running stock pipe on my car. Some people say bigger pipe would help. I think stock size is even sufficient for a b6/b8. My .02$

That muffler will be loud. I'd get a oval like in this picture, or of course a "turbo" muffler.

Yeah, I was wanting an oval one...Had a world sport 2 on my prelude and loved the sound of it. I was only gonna put this one on because it's what I have at the moment. I was thinking about this one on ebay...

Oh yeah, if I get this one I'd cut the tip off so it's not slanting up

Yeah that one looks good. And with as low as your ground effects are I'd just mount it upside down or with the tip pointing down.

I put a Dynomax on my 'Yota. Same company as thrush. About the cheapest stuff out there, and it doesn't sound ricey. it's on the quiet side but we couldn't have the car be noisy at idle so I ordered the longest one they make. Still screams nicely at WOT.

Just keep in mind, a 3" exhaust system on a vehicle as small as ours. Adding headers will quietened it down lots and give it a nice sound.

too loud and you get some unwanted criticism...

I have alot of bike parts laying around so I have a muffler from a Harley Davidson FL on mine right now. It's not extremely loud but it does have a little bit of a drone to it at 35mph when I'm cruising through town. I'm getting ready to swap it for a Yoshimura canister off of GSX-R 750

The nice thing is that the bike mufflers are easy to fit since the pipes are the same size as the Fetsy...LOL
