My rear defroster looks like it should work, it is intact and in good shape, the light comes on on the dash but it does not heat up. So if you got one out of a scrap yard it still might not work.

My 89 L had the wires for the power mirrors under the dash on both sides but you will need the harness wires that go in the doors.Originally posted by needragr View Post
Can you go back and take them out of the LX? It's not hard at all to put them in the door. I even added a harness in the doors that included wires for power windows.
The blue wire for the cargo light ground was alread in my hatch and the wires for the defogger (it has the defogger wires on the window). Not sure about the wiper.

I revisited the installation of those Pwr mirrors the WE and sure enough... NO provision to plug in the Pwr mirrors under my dash! So I guess I have to manually wire it.
1st Q: where should I pull switched prw. from ? 2nd Q: the toggle rocker switch has got to be oriented correctly in the dash socket, how do you tell what side is is up vs down? What year is your Festiva? My 90 L had the wires under the dash to connect to. You will need the wires to go through the door and the pigtail to go up to the mirrors though.Comment

power for cig lighter, mirror sw, and radio come off the 15A cigar fuse. the big sheet wiring schematics will give you colors and guage of wire. i thought someone sticky'd a set. unfortunately, the switch connector (212) is shown both ways in an EVTM so you might just have to experiment.Comment
