  • Aspire seatbelts in a Festiva

Are the Aspire seatbelts too different? I want to replace my automatic seatbelts (92 GL) with manual ones and you can find new aftermarket belts for Aspires online. Has anyone installed Aspire seatbelts in their Festy?

I've wondered about this for years, but I've never tried it and I don't think anyone here has done so either.

In my not so educated opinion, they should have a good chance of working, and if so, they'd be a lot better than using the older Festiva seatbelts, which are just getting too old.

I just changed the seats, didn't touch the belts. Kittystiva (the car Greg is working his magic on) had Aspire seats, but now has Escort GT seats.

              Canadian seat belts

All Festivas sold in Canada had manual belts. They are a dime a dozen up here.

I guess I was not too clear. I'm looking to replace my seat belts with brand new ones. I can't find anyone that sells new manual seatbelts for a Festiva but they do sell new manual seatbelts for an Aspire.

So, I wanted to know if Aspire seatbelts work in a Festiva. Don't really want to replace the bets with old worn out ones.

Anyone knows if Aspire seatbelts work on a Festiva?

Nobody? Oh well, ended going to the junkyard to find that the mounting brackets for the retracting mechanism are different.
