  • Power Mirrors

I was doing a little Junk yard diving yesterday and found a set of power mirrors on an LX for $40.00. Do you guys think that's a good price or should I keep looking? Thanks,

    power mirrors

That doesn't sound like a bad price if there both in good shape and work. Be sure to grab the power mirror switch out of the dash for them as well

That's a pretty good price. You'll need to get the wiring harness from each door as well. It's in two sections... one about 8" long that plugs into the mirror and the other one runs through the door and out through the door jamb into the main body of the car. They plug into the main harness behind the stock front speaker locations.

Okay I got the power mirrors today and I was able to install the passenger side mirror without any problems but I'm having a little trouble finding were to plug the wiring harness behind the speaker on the driver side. Any suggestions? I could see a male plug in the back, but it was to small to work and it's kind of hard to get to. I thought I had gotten everything to do the job but do you think there might be a small section of wire that bridges the gap?

the male plug should b inside the door, just like on the pass side.

i got mine for like 10 bux i think... my whole crapload of stuff was like 30something that day so i kno it was a lot less than that, still don't get that lucky all the time and 40 was prly a good price

Thanks, I found it though, it was tucked way back in their I traced it from the switch and found it. They both work but not very well. They are very stiff and the passenger side only moves a little I think it'll work better once I get the car running cause then it'll have more juice. I think they just need worked out. I think the little plug that I broke a little  might go to the rear wiper switch? I don't know but surly it must go to something :? .

don't you love it when you break stuff when trying to fix a car?? I was changing a spedo sensor on a shadow once, and it snapped off in the tranny, then I had to chip it out with a screw driver... then I chipped the nylon gear... all in all it took 2 days to get the parts out and the new ones in... and now my instrument cluster took a dump... I can't wait till I get my red festy in 3 weeks...
